Food Stealing Squirrel

Sarah - Saturday, 3 July 2010 06:18

When we got our food (hot dogs, brats, ketchup, mustard and relish packets and a pretzel ). We went over to a ledge and put our food down. I had two ketchup packets and a hot dog. Suddenly a big squirrel showed up from nowhere and took one ketchup packet. He ran away and nibbled on it. It busted open and then he started sucking on it. When he finished it, he came back and tried to steal the pretzel. So dad got his blue drink and started to spray at every squirrel that tried to steal our food. They did get a BLUE shower.

Horseback riding

Sarah - Saturday, 3 July 2010 01:10

Our campsite is right next to a horse stable. On Thursday we went to the horses and mules to get ready to ride them. Then we got on them and started riding! The ride was pretty long. We saw a lot of trees and plants. My horse’s name is R.B. His name stands for rubber belly because you can kick him and kick him and he won’t go. Derek’s mule’s name is Pistol. Matt’s mule’s name P.K. It stands for pretty kind. Mom’s horse’s name is Q. Dad’s horse’s name is P.Q. Pictures of me on my horse.

Pistol farted a lot!!! P.K. liked to eat a lot!!! R.B found a big clob of grass at the last minute and would not go away from it so I had to slap his butt! I was surprised that R.B did not go off the trail!!! He must have been trained. Pictures of the family on their horses Read More

Texas Musical

Sarah - Sunday, 27 June 2010 11:37

We went to a canyon called Palo Duro. First we looked at a view of Palo Duro from very high up. Then we drove all the way down to the bottom. It did not take long when we were driving. After that we ate dinner (steak and chicken). Then we were able to climb to one of the peaks. After that we got in line to get to our seats so we could watch a musical called Texas. There was a lot of dancing and singing. They had very colorful costumes. There was a cow girl in the play that is just like me! There was a other girl who came up to her and said “Look I found a dress for you!” and the un-girly cow girl freaked out and said “It has pink on it!!!” I would say the same thing if I had to where that! The show had a lot of horses included. After the show was done I was sad because it was really cool. When we were walking back to the car we saw a ton of horses! We got to pet every horse. They feel so soft and looked so cute!!!

The Blue Whale – near Tulsa, OK

Sarah - Thursday, 24 June 2010 10:42

First we drove to the Blue Whale. When we got there it said we were not allowed to swim in the lake. It looked like a swamp. We went in the whale. There used to be a diving board on the whale’s tail. There was a ladder so we could go up near its eyes and poked our heads out of little holes. It was very cool and we saw it on the Route 66 DVD so we wanted to go there. We took lots of pictures so be sure to check them out!
